Southland Museum and Art Gallery

The Southland Museum and Art Gallery is a major cultural organisation for the Southland region and serves a population of almost 100,000 population.

The organisation is funded by the Southland Heritage Trust, and the Invercargill City Council. The building and collections are owned by the Southland Museum and Art Gallery Trust Board, and services are administered by the Invercargill City Council.

It is a major museum for the region and holds collections of international, national and regional importance, as well as an active programme of special exhibitions from outside the region.
