Southern Odyssey Heritage Trail
The Southern Odyssey Heritage Trail is an interactive arts and heritage trail that explores the deeds of remarkable individuals from Southland's past.
From sly groggers to pioneer aviators, the wild days and extraordinary people of Southland are celebrated through stories, art and music. All this is set in the places they lived, worked, wrote, drank and fought. Up to ten sites along State Highway 94 from Gore to Lumsden and Mossburn, and on State Highway 6 as far as Garston, are highlighted as part of the Southern Odyssey road journey. The area covered is around 150 kilometres, and is great fun if travelling to Queenstown, Invercargill, or Gore.
Trail packs can be purchased from participating i-SITE Visitor Centres.
