		<description>&lt;p&gt;Calling all poets!  To mark turning 21, the Festival of Flowers, in association with Heritage Christchurch, is holding a poetry competition on the 2010 Festival of Flowers theme ‘The Tree of Life’.  

Poems can be up to 30 lines with style open: sentimental, quirky, hilarious  - your choice!  

Finalists will read their works out at the Soirée on 2 March prior to the supreme winner being announced.  

A selection of poems will later appear on www.festivalofflowers.co.nz.

		<description>&lt;p&gt;A riverside walk featuring 30 boulders engraved with haiku. It is the largest collection of &quot;haiku stones&quot; in English in the world

The haiku, some written by New Zealanders, others by poets from Australia, the US, Canada, Japan, Poland and the UK, were carefully selected by Katikati poet Cath Mair to harmonise with the immediate environment.

The Pathway is in the centre of Katikati with entries off the Main St beside Mitre 10, behind the Information Centre, and opposite Twickenham Cafe.&lt;/p&gt;

Your Library card is your passport to the riches! If you haven’t got one, head down to your local library and ask them how to get one. Keep it handy as you will need it to borrow items. 

New Zealand&apos;s first public library opened in Wellington in 1841, they can now be found throughout New Zealand and are open to everyone.
