Rhythm and Vines

Rhythm & Vines is the brainchild of university mates Hamish Pinkham, Tom Gibson and Andrew Witters. In 2003 the concept was to gather networks of friends and others from throughout New Zealand to celebrate the New Year in a safe and secure location, while being entertained by some of our country’s premier musicians.

Last year, we saw 15,000 people enjoying a world class festival in the vines to the premier Kiwi & international music. In 007 there will be 20,000 people to share the first rays of light over the world for 2008!

Taking place at Waiohika Estate’s breathtakingly beautiful, natural outdoor amphitheatre, the event is only 10 minutes drive from Gisborne’s city centre, beaches and accommodation. It’s the ideal venue to welcome in the first dawn of 2007!

There are 4 stages including the Rhythm, Vines, Cellar tent and an the waiohika sacred lake stage.

Extensive planning and thought has gone into making sure there are plenty of toilet facilities, eftpos, parking, and in addition, a bus service will operate around the clock. Delicious food and beverages throughout the venue mean you can purchase anything from hot roast sandwiches, gourmet burgers, salads and pizza, to sorbets and pikelets.
