Pottery Slab Hand Building

Learn the basics of slab hand building moving to larger textured pieces using oxides and china clay to bring out the details. Basic colouring oxides and their properties will be introduced.

Slab to slab hand building. Slab to coil building. Coil to coil building. Joining prebuilt pieces. Working with oxides to bring out texture. Glazing over oxides for surface definitiion. Loading a kiln with sculptural pieces.
