NZSki provides three distinctively different premier ski areas, Coronet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables. New Zealand is home to the Southern Alps, a magnificent mountain range forming the backbone of the South Island.

Coronet Peak Ski Area:

With over 60 years of passion and quality, dedicated veterans and first timers will be blown away by the multi-million dollar transformation of Coronet Peak for the 2008 season - elevating this much-loved mountain to true world-class status. The brand new base building's superb facilities include larger and improved food and beverage service areas, ticketing, storage, rentals and a huge sundeck and expanded child care facilities and creche, now catering for up to 30 children. The automated snowmaking system will be extended to over 200 snow guns, guaranteeing snow cover throughout the season.

The Remarkables Ski Area:

At the Remarkables it's all about fun, families, freestyle and love of the big mountain environment. Towering peaks chelter three sunny bowls and 220 skiable hectares of terrain. Catering superbly for the beginner and intermediate market, there is also a wealth of big mountain possibilities for off-piste enthusiasts. Here you'll enjoy a relaxed alpine atmosphere with DJs, live music and heaps of entertainment throughout the season.

New in 2008 is "The Stash", a newly developed Burton signature terrain park; the first of its type in the Southern Hemisphere. The Stash creates an avenue of hits and features unique to the local environment for all jibbers. This extends the terrain parks at The Remarks to 3 and freestylers of all ages are welcomed.

Mt Hutt Ski Area and Snow Centre:

Views from the top of Mt Hutt's 2086m are breathtaking - on a clear day you can see all the way from the Pacific Ocean to the heart of the Southern Alps. With one of the largest vertical drops in the South Island, there is plenty of terrain available for all abilities.

A laidback atmosphere reflecting the rural Kiwi approach to life defines Mt Hutt while recent developments ensure world class facilities and service. A well developed trail network, 10,000sqm terrain park with halfpipe, triple black diamond runs and steep chutes offer thrills for all levels.
