Regional Maritime Museum

Situated in the Historic Port Chamlers Post and Telegraph Office, the collection relates to the social history of Port Chalmers and the maritime history of Otago and includes the Union Steam Ship Co. and Antarctic exploration. There is also an extensive archive and photographic collection.

The museum offers regular guided tours of the harbour hulks situated around Careys Bay and Deborah Bay, and walking tours of Port Chalmers.

Miller & Tunnage: A Master Craft
an exhibition on the local boat-building industry until February 2007.
