Broadgreen House
Experience a taste of New Zealand’s past with a visit to the historic Broadgreen House.
The 150 year-old cob house has eleven rooms. It is surrounded by beautiful rose gardens, which help to create the ‘lived-in’ atmosphere that this piece of New Zealand’s past exudes. All you would expect of a Victorian home and more.
Broadgreen House holds a collection of books and articles on Victorian houses, life-styles, occupations, leisure activities, cooking, gardening and fashion.
The extensive Samuels Rose Gardens surround Broadgreen. They contain around 3000 plants and about 600 varieties of roses, from very old varieties to the most modern.
