Big Blues New Zealand Tour - Christchurch

Big Blues 2008 New Zealand Tour will feature a legendary Blues icon in front of an 18 piece Big Band. This is Big Blues.

Internationally acclaimed blues master Charlie Musselwhite is joined by guitarist - Danny Caron; Hammond Organist - David K Matthews; and The Rodger Fox Big Band.

Charlie's mix of wild country abandon seasoned by years of playing urban electric blues in Chicago that spurs the likes of Ben Harper, Tom Waits and Gov't Mule to welcome Musselwhite onto their stages and records.

That same brash, blues/rock rebel vibe was Dan Aykroyd's inspiration for his Elwood Blues persona, and it's what has won Musselwhite a pile of blues awards and earned the admiration and respect of his own heroes: Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters.

Danny Caron has performed with The World Blues Revue and Charles Brown

David K Matthews performed with Tower of Power and is the keyboardist for the Grammy Award winning Queen of Rhythm & Blues - Etta James.
