Kawana Mill
The historic Kawana Mill is a good example of a rebuilt water-power mill, with its original waterwheel and grinding stones. It was built in 1854 with the help of Governor Grey, to grind the wheat grown by local Maori farmers.
You can view the interior and exterior of the mill any time during daylight hours.
