Armistice Film Screening: After the War was Over
Lloyd George promised the returning soldiers and those at home "a land fit for heroes". In After the War Was Over we look at the world that was created here in New Zealand as captured on film.
The programme focuses on the immediate post-war years and the 1920s, featuring ANZAC Day services, memorials, rehabilitation services, agriculture, industry and for more a personal view the odd home-movie or two. With live musical accompaniment.
Presented by the Friends of the Film Archive.
