Port Nelson

Port Nelson exports close to three million tonnes of cargo every year from Nelson's forestry sector, fruit growers and seafood processors.

From the recreational berths near Olivia's on Wakefield Quay you can see the ships come and go and watch loading of vessels at the Main Wharf. Fishing is allowed from the coastal berth when it is not being worked.
