Otatara Pa Historic Reserve

Known throughout the country for its rich history and huge size the Otatara Pa Historic Reserve is visited by tourists and locals all year round. Earthworks of many of the terraced dwelling sites and food pits can still be seen today.

As the place where Ngati Kahungunu first established themselves, it is the cultural and archaeological hub of the Hawke's Bay.
