40 Years of Trams at MOTAT
The 16th of December marks 40 years of operational trams at the Museum of Transport and Technology.
Since being taken off Auckland’s tram tracks 50 years ago, MOTAT has housed and restored an impressive collection of ornate and historic trams. This fleet may no longer be used for public transport but you can still catch a ride from MOTAT’s Great North Road site all the way to their Motions Road facility, home to the museum’s aviation, military and rail collections, on the newly extended tramline – all included in the MOTAT price of entry.
Hop on board one of MOTAT’s famous trams on Sunday 16th December and get a commemorative tram ticket to mark the occasion.
You can ride the trams as part of your MOTAT entry fee. You can also enjoy the rest of the museum and entry to the Tactile Dome and Voyager I for one great price.
