Dollmania
Dolls have been a part of our history for thousands of years. Often making memorable gifts or marking a special time in our lives they are loved, battered, given haircuts, hung upside down, played with and grow to have personalities of their own.
Throughout history, dolls have had other uses - sometimes being perceived to have power, used to display the latest fashion, to hold night clothes and adorn a bed, or to describe folk tales. This exhibition coincides with the Christmas season and shows selected dolls from private collections along with works by local printmakers Toni Mosley, Natalie Couch and Gabrielle Belz.
