Lochmara Lodge Wildlife Recovery and Arts Centre

The Lochmara Lodge Arts Centre is a unique arts facility, showcasing, presenting, and supporting art in a natural and uniquely New Zealand setting.

The Centre includes an outdoor sculpture trail we call a 'living gallery', two indoor gallery spaces with changing exhibitions and a programme of music events, residency opportunities, residential workshops, and an annual artist retreat for artists from across New Zealand. We support artists and art across the spectrum, including visual art, music, film, and dance.

The Centre has as its key focus the desire to allow people to access art in a different space, and to allow artists to contribute to environmental awareness and conservation. A portion of the commission on all sales goes towards local and national environmental conservation projects.

The Centre aspires to be nationally and internationally recognised for the arts and the environment, offering artists the chance to exhibit in a different space and making art accessible to a wider range of national and international visitors.
