Leigh Sawmill Cafe

The Sawmill Cafe, Accommodation and Brewery is located at Leigh in the Hauraki Gulf. The cafe has a varied portfolio of live music as well as regular art exhibitions and special events.

It is close to Goat Island Marine reserve, Pakiri Beach, Matheson Bay, Tawharanui Regional Park and Little Barrier Island. Situated one hour north of Auckland, the final 20 minutes are a picturesque drive east through the vineyard and rural coastline of Matakana and Leigh.

With it's esoteric cafe culture and excellent food, the passionate family-run business has become a landmark in it's own right.

The boutique lodgings, born from the ashes of the original sawmilling shed, create a hideaway just metres from the cafe with 5 spacious suites and 2 comfy bunk rooms. Enjoy a good night's sleep after fine dining at the cafe or as a base to explore the fantastic environs of the Hauraki Gulf.
