Hutt City Libraries

Hutt City Libraries consist of Lower Hutt's Public Library, part of a network of 8 community libraries in the area. The libraries have a total of 25000 visitors a week.

Hutt City Libraries provide resources, services and events around Hutt City. The Libraries aim to help visitors to ‘put knowledge to use’, and aim to meet the needs of all residents whether they're after something for learning or relaxing.

The libraries boast local heritage materials, a public ‘lounge’ where you can meet with others, attend events or use the IT facilities.

The Central Library holds resources of considerable depth and breadth - not only books, newspapers and other print media but also a growing range of DVDs, CDs and other digital media.
