Hocken Collections: Uare Taoka O Hakena
The Hocken Collections is managed in trust for the people of New Zealand as part of the University of Otago Library.
It collects widely in relation to the history and culture of New Zealand, the Pacific and Antarctica, with a special emphasis on the Otago and Southland regions of New Zealand. Dates of collected pieces range from the seventeenth century to the present day.
There is a regular programme of exhibitions in its gallery.
