Hawke's Bay Museum and Art Gallery
Located in the centre of Napier, Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery transcends its modest size to maintain an enviable reputation of the home of the most innovative design exhibitions in New Zealand. Here we break the rules of traditional galleries and put the art of our everyday lives first.
Just as the style choices of the 1930s can be seen in every block of the city, the galleries of the Hawke's Bay Museum and Art Gallery bring the catalogue of twentieth and twenty-frist century style choices alive. Here the decisions that led our grandmothers to choose satin ballgowns, or that led dad to customize his escort van, live alongside our own everyday style choices.
