Gamelan Padhang Moncar

Gamelan Padhang Moncar is a Javanese gamelan orchestra that performs traditional Javanese music and new compositions by New Zealand composers.

The group also accompanies Javanese shadow puppetry (wayang kulit) and dance, and has been based at the NZ School of Music (Kelburn campus) for over 25 years. They are available for functions, receptions, conferences, weddings, workshops and concerts.
