Christchurch Dance Education Bursary Trust

Purpose and objectives

Eligiblity

Candidates must be New Zealand citizens and Canterbury residents.

Candidates must have auditioned, been formally accepted and enrolled as a full-time student in a Nationally or Internationally recognised tertiary professional dance training school outside the Canterbury region. The training school must have a strong classical training component as the major part of the curriculum.

Purpose

To encourage and support the senior dance students in the region.

To acknowledge their talent and commitment to pursue a career in professional dance training programmes.

To applaud their achievements in gaining entry to professional dance training programmes.

To financially assist Canterbury students by the awarding of a bursary during their professional training.

History

The Christchurch Dance Education Bursary is a charitable trust and all invested funds will be used for the purpose of awarding annual bursaries to eligible senior dance students who are in professional training.

How to apply

Closing dates

Information required with application

Applications must be in writing to the trustees with aims and aspirations for a career in dance, and be accompanied by letters of acceptance and enrolment from the professional training school.
