History

The Warren Douglas Scholarship Fund was established in May 1995.

In the last few months of his life Warren Douglas (a well known figure in the dance world), talked about his wish to set up a Scholarship Fund to help those who wanted to make the transition from performer to arts administrator, as he had done. He could see that there was need to help others by providing a fund for education and training for those who might wish to follow his footsteps. Warren died of an AIDS related illness on 1st January 1995.

The Fund will consider its first major grant for 1998.
