Bay of Islands Sailing Week

An Annual Yacht Racing Regatta. Registration will take place on the evening of 19 January. The North Sails Tent will be located on Opua Wharf. The 2009 Regatta will have a Beach Party at Roberton Island on Thursday 22 January.

The very first Regatta was held in the Bay of Islands in January 2003, with a total of 39 yachts. In January 2007, 92 boats competed. The continuing success of the Regatta is due to enthusiastic yachties who enjoy good hard racing, followed of course by “a few beers” in the tent.
