50th Anniversary Series: Cathedral Concert 4
The fourth concert in a series to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
Featuring special guests: Soloists - Kevin Lefohn and Jan van den Berg (violins) and Guest conductor - Sir William Southgate.
The programme will include:
Corelli – Concerto Grosso
Bach – Concerto for two violins in D minor
Brahms – Chorale – Prelude and Fuge
Mozart – Eine Kleine Nacht Musik
Ritchie J – Turkey in the Straw
Each concert featuring a work that was performed by the John Ritchie Strings, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra’s originating ensemble, in its inaugural year. The exquisite repertoire showcases the string, woodwind and brass sections of the Orchestra throughout the series.
