Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu

The spectacular Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu is located in the heart of the city's unique Cultural Precinct. The Gallery houses one of the largest art collections in New Zealand, including a superb selection of Canterbury works.

The regularly-changing programme offers a dynamic choice of collection-based, national and international touring exhibitions. Additionally, a range of daytime and evening lectures, floor talks, films and events make the Gallery an enjoyable and impressive place to visit.

Christchurch Art Gallery offers unique Audio Tours, which can be enjoyed in several ways:

1. Listen online to the audio through our interactive player, which allows you to view images as you listen to the commentary.

2. Download an Audio Tour to your audio player and visit the Gallery to experience it in person.

3. Hire an iPod Audio Tour at the Gallery. All Audio Tours are included for a hire fee of $5. Please bring your credit card, driver’s licence or passport for security.
