Zukerman Chamber Players - Napier
Pinchas Zukerman has been recognised as a musical phenomenon for four decades. His genius and prodigious technique have long been a marvel to critics and audiences, and his exceptional artistic standards continue to earn him the highest acclaim.
Equally respected as a violinist, violist, conductor, teacher and chamber musician, Zukerman is indeed a master of our time. In a continuing effort to motivate future generations of musicians through education and outreach, Zukerman teamed up with four protégés to form the Zukerman Chamber Players during the 2002-2003 season. The ensemble appear regularly at the most prestigious summer festivals throughout the United States, have performed at least 50 concerts, and have released four recordings.
The Zukerman Chamber Players are presented in association with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. See NZSO’s Subscription Series for performances with Pinchas Zukerman and Amanda Forsyth. www.nzso.co.nz
In New Plymouth, the Zukerman Chamber Players appear in partnership with the 2009 Taranaki International Festival of the Arts.
