Jack Liebeck & Stephen De Pledge - Hamilton
Jack Liebeck attended the Purcell School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 2003. He made his acclaimed London recital debut in a sold-out Wigmore Hall in 2002. Performing concertos and recitals since the age of eleven, Jack’s appearances have taken him around the world working with renowned orchestras, conductors and chamber music partners.
Jack has appeared at many major summer festivals, including the Australian Chamber Music Festival in Townsville. His debut disc from 2004 attracted enormous critical acclaim, and was nominated for a Classical Brit Award. He is soon to release new recordings of the three Brahms violin sonatas on the Sony label. Jack plays the ‘Ex- Wilhelmj’ J.B. Guadagnini, dated 1785.
Stephen De Pledge is one of the most exciting and versatile musicians of his generation. After studies at the University of Auckland, and the Guildhall School of Music, he won two major awards which launched his career as soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. Stephen has recorded numerous solo and chamber music recordings, and has broadcast for Radio 3 and Classic FM in the UK, also on radio in USA, Australia, New Zealand and Sweden. Performances in the 2008 season include two Wigmore Hall appearances, a chamber music tour of Sweden, and a concert in the opening weekend of London’s new concert venue, King’s Place.
