Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery

The Central Stories Museum galleries tell the stories of the history, including the natural history, of Central Otago.

• Get a rabbit’s eye view of life in the rabbit hole.
• Highlights include a live display of three Otago skinks - the most critically threatened lizards in New Zealand. Feeding time on Tuesdays at 11.00am.

Russell Henderson Gallery displays new art exhibitions every six weeks that highlight local artists mixed with some from outside the area.

The John McCraw Research Room holds rich archives relating to the social history of Central.
