Events banner

Get events on your site

Add an events banner to your own website. There are two versions: the first lists events that are featured on NZLive.com and the second lets you choose what kind of events you want to appear on the banner. Click here to see example of these banners working.

Featured Events Feed

To add an events banner of featured events, please insert the following lines of HTML code into your web page. If you aren't able to do this yourself, it’s an easy task for your web designer.

You can change the look of the banner by choosing a colour theme. In the HTML code, you can change this variable:

Theme: choose a colour of ‘blue’, ‘black’ or ‘grey’

Customised Feed

To add an events banner with events information of your choice, please insert the following lines of HTML code into your web page, and then change the variables to include your events criteria. If you aren't able to do this yourself, it’s an easy task for your web designer.

Against the ‘what’ variable, you need to specify the kind of events you want to see. It’s a good idea to do an events search on NZLive.com first, to make sure that these are the kind of events that you want appearing on your banner. We’ve also given you some other variables that you can change, but the ‘what’ variable is the only one that is mandatory.

In the HTML code, you can change these variables:

What: add your ‘what’ search term eg theatre, maori culture, family
Where: add a region (this is optional) eg Auckland, Southland
Theme: choose a colour of ‘blue’, ‘black’ or ‘grey’
Title: add a title for the banner eg Theatre events in Wellington
Count: specify how many events appear in the banner (between 5 and 20)
