Northland Twin Coast Art Trail

The Northland Twin Coast Art Trail features over 30 art galleries, artists’ studios and craft and design stores which will give visitors to Northland and Northlanders alike the chance to experience the region’s distinctive artistic culture and creativity.

Did you know that Northland is the New Zealand region with the highest ratio of artists per capita?

No wonder. The natural beauty, isolation, cultural tradition and diversity of this vast region foster a rich creative environment for people working in the art sector. Moreover, Northland’s strong Maori cultural heritage is intrinsic to its artistic identity and appeal.

This is why Arts Promotion Trust is launching the first Stand Alone Northland Art Trail, which will be distributed across the region as well as in key Auckland locations through the Arts About Auckland network.

Designers Christine Cook and Jasmine Horton of Thinkcreate, Whangarei, have created a fresh and striking design bursting with Northland flair and originality.
